Speakers Profile
Md. Moinul Islam

Md. Moinul Islam has been with ACI Limited as a General Manager, HR since December 2013. Prior to this, he has worked as a Head of Learning & Development at same organization. He has also worked for six years with Beximco group Ltd. in the same profession. He has expertise in training, management, performance management and organizational development. Besides, he has more than five years of teaching experience as an visiting faculty to leading educational institutes e.g. Stamford University andASA UniversityBangladesh (ASAUB) at MBA level.

He is recognized as an international management trainer for South East Asian Region by NICC, Japan and as an trainer of Corporate Governance by World Bank.  He has experience facilitating a large number of in-company programs for leading companies in both internal and external training and workshops on the issues of HRM, IR, T&D, OD and Corporate Governance in Brac, Leads, SMC, Brac Bank, Karitash, Kaltimax and so on.

He passed his MBA, M. Pharm and  B. Pharm from  University of Dhaka. Humaira Sharmeen

Currently Humaira Sharmeen is Head of Operations of Prothom-alojobs. Sharmeen started her career in Pharmaceutical marketing from 1996. She worked for Aventis pharma, GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Ltd in different roles of marketing for twelve years. Then she preferred to remain as an Independent Marketing and HR consultant for couple of years. Then she was associated with HRKites, AMTRAS and some other companies. During her 16 years of experience she has conducted many trainings, awareness workshops and organized many international seminars, congress in Bangladesh . She participated in many trainings, workshops, congress, seminars both at home and abroad. She did her masters of pharmacy (Mpharm) from Dhaka University and MBA from North South University with dual major - Marketing and HRM.

Aminur Rahman Khan

Mr. Aminur Rahman Khan Joined British American Tobacco in production Department as production management in 1980. Since 1980 to 2002 Mr. Amin served the Supply chain Department in various capacities like Asstt. Shift Manager, Manufacturing Manager, production Manager Shift, Plant Procurement Manager, Materials planning Manager and Planning & Logistic Manager.

While in Supply chain Department Mr. Amin was responsible for production and its quality, Maintenance of M/cs, People handling and engagement with CBA. In many occasions he was coordinating the production department and led the Dhaka Factory in different Industrial issues. He is one who has colourful experiences of running the factories in both Dhaka and Chittagong city. In people development he showed many creative initiatives and has played a vital rule in closing the then Chittagong Factory of 1200 people size. Again selection of 300 people from Chittagong and placed them in Dhaka Factory, trained and developed them, he played a fantastic rule with his leadership.

Mr. Amin has led and contributed in formulating a new structure for the employees to maintain the sustainability. He led two trips, a team of CBA and management members in Germany, Malaysia Singapore and Srilanka to understand the culture and best practices. He had a long training and experience on M/C rebuilt at Nederland.

Mr. Amin joined the BATB HR Department in 2002 as Employee Relations Manager, having the responsibility of Total IR environment of the Company. Moving on, he has many success stories as HR & ER Manager. He has an expertise of  huge no. of people recruitment, salary review process, formulating new pay scale in BATB, conducting different type of training programs for Management and non management, Knowledge  in TRM process and succession planning. Implemented several critical projects in the company. Having knowledge in conducting long term agreements, CBA elections and negotiations with CBA .Mr. Amin is one of the experienced personality in the country in the field of Employee Relations and Labour Law.

Mr. Amin has the experience of formulating different HR policies in the company. Under his leadership company has successfully developed the ER policy. This policy is well appreciated by the other operational companies of BAT World. He has developed many soft wares to increase the velocity of HR processes. He has vast knowledge in conducting Training programs in different subjects  in different Organizations like IBA , Employers Federation, ILO, Ministry of Employment and Labour, private Universities, Prothom Alo jobs, CSDC Chittagong and obviously BATB.

Mr. Aminur Rahman Khan is an MBA, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, having 20 years experiences in Supply chain Department in various responsible positions and 12 years experiences as Corporate Employee Relations Manager a very senior Manager position in the company. He was a honourable Labour court member for last four years in the 2nd Labour court. He had the opportunity to work with the Employers Federation team in formulating the draft of Labour Law 2006 rules.

Mr. Amin has participated in many local and international programs in different countries like UK, Nederland, Germany, Shingapore, Bangkonk, Srilonka, Malayasia and Pakistan. He has participated in a ILO regional Workshop at Bangkok in 2008 as Bangladesh representative where he has presented a key note paper on skill issue in Asia a people development plan.

He is instrumental with the following programs : Labour Law 2006 , Disciplinary procedures, Enquiry procedures, Compliance issues, Safety & hygiene, employee welfare within labour law frame work. Recruitment, Annual assessment, Different agreements, Policies, Conflict regulations within the frame work of Employee Relations. Management programs on Labour laws, carrier development and succession planning.

Overall, Mr. Amin is also giving consultations to different organizations in the field of Labour law, Employee Relations, IR issues, Compliance issues and audits and other programs desired by the clients.

Mr. Amin has taken retirement from BATB after 32 years plus successful service and is engaged with BRAC University Business school as visiting Associate Professor in EMBA classes.  

Kishwar Sayeed

Kishwar Sayeed is a MBA from Thunderbird American School of International Management, Phoenix, Ariz. USA. She also completed Diploma from AIM, Manila, Philippines. Before that she attended Dhaka University and earned Master of Science degree in Psychology.

She has a vast working experience of more than thirty years in government, non-government and private sectors in Bangladesh. At the beginning of her career she taught Psychology in Central Women's University. Eventually she worked for BADC, The British Council & Ministry of Health as a Project Manager in DFID, European Commission & Ministry of Education as a Deputy Program Director, as a Director in Family Planning Association of Bangladesh and Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association and as a Vice President in Prime Bank Limited.

She spent most of her rich career in Human Resources Development field. In this long voyage she used to be the Personnel Manager in USAID & IFDC for FDI II project, Head of HR in Beximco Textiles, HR Consultant in Graham & Sullivan/Mott MacDonald/WSP/DFID/Roads & Highways under RRMPII Project, World Bank, HR Account Manager, South Asia, IFC, WBG, HR / OD Advisor, Microcredit Regulatory Authority, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of Bangladesh and Director of HR, BRAC. Recently she is working for the country's leading newspaper The Daily Prothom Alo as an Advisor of HR and OD.
